Scenport Constructions specialises in the construction of high quality residential projects and commercial construction projects in the sub $16,000,000 bracket. Scenport Constructions values long term relationships with clients and subcontractors and especially values its staff.

The Company         

Scenport Constructions Pty Ltd was established in April 1999 in the belief that there was a space in the marketplace for a construction company that offered customer service and quality of performance as the priority in its operations.

Since its commencement Scenport Constructions have established a position at the forefront of the Tasmanian Industry, where exceptional service & quality is rewarded and where the client can be completely happy with their product.
Scenport Constructions actively pursued & maintained its position by always structuring the company to provide the quality in workmanship, service, staff and technology and by consistently updating our systems, encouraging the training and professional development of our people.
Scenport Constructions is totally focussed on its goal of delivering superior service and results in the high end residential and commercial market places.
This company attitude is supported by providing stringent qualification tests on all our suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that they too work to our philosophy of quality and service.

Scenport Constructions has undertaken numerous architecturally designed residential projects as well as many varied commercial projects such as airports, schools, nursing homes, child care centres, apartment complexes & office complexes.
We currently have several large residences and commercial projects under construction as well as other projects in the design & documentation stage.
Scenport Constructions specialises in the design and / or implementation of high quality commercial & domestic projects in construction where reliability, quality, service and honesty are key requirements of our clients.
Scenport Constructions recently joined forces with Greenspeed Developments Pty Ltd in the development of Tasmania’s most energy efficient house. The energy efficiently of this house rates at 7.6 star (out of 10) compared to the standard of 5 star rating. Scenport Constructions is very passionate about the new building technology and methodology as energy efficiently is the way of the future.

In addition to the Board, Scenport Constructions has the services of some of the best people in the industry who combine to form a Management Team that controls the operational areas of every facet of the Company.

Operational Systems        
Scenport Constructions is committed to the principles and practices of Quality Management throughout all aspects of the company’s operations. The Company’s comprehensive Integrated Management System enables the proficient management of quality, safety & environment with all of our practices.
In February 2009 Scenport Constructions successfully gained 2nd Party accreditation by demonstrating compliance with the Quality Assurance criteria for Registration as an Approved Contractor for Building Construction and Maintenance for the Department of Treasury, Procurement & Properties Branch.
The Company is currently preparing for compliance in additional certifications to gain 3rd Party accreditation.

Workplace Health & Safety 

Scenport Constructions has a well documented and implemented OH&S system. As an integral site safety policy, Scenport Constructions requires all personnel who enter their sites to have completed a detailed Safety Induction which complies with the requirements of the Workplace Health & Safety Act 1995. In addition, we appoint Site Safety Officers on all projects and ensure that all sites have personnel with current First Aid Certification. With these safety measures our projects have improved construction efficiency and are delivered on time.

Industrial Relations

Scenport Constructions employs a base of highly skilled trades people and supports this with a team of subcontractors who work within given project guidelines giving Scenport Constructions a reliable and varied labour resource.
With this approach we have not experienced nor envisage any industrial relations problems. We work in accordance with a Collective Agreement negotiated between the Company and its employees as well as the CFMEU.

Financial Capability

The ability to successfully cash manage a project is vital to its success. Through our substantial construction experience we have developed our job costing & control systems to accurately monitor the overall company cash management and the specific cash management of each project.
Scenport Constructions has recently upgraded to the Timberline suite of construction accounting packages this now provides even more accurate and detailed financial management of specific projects and client requirements, as well as more information on the overall company performance.
Scenport Constructions operates very significant trade accounts with Tasmania’s leading suppliers and subcontractors.
We have proven that we have the financial capacity to complete any project that we choose to engage in.
With the company entering its 10th year of operations and with an annual turnover approaching $20 Million Scenport Constructions has created the base for long term success in the Tasmanian Construction Industry.
